The Bar Mitzvah ceremony formally marks the assumption of that obligation, along with the corresponding right to take part in leading religious services, to count in a minyan (the minimum number of people needed to perform certain parts of religious services), to form binding contracts, to testify before courts and to marry. What does the Bar Mitzvah have to do with g0ys? We recognize that the most advanced society on the planet in matters of Law for centuries - was the Jews. Even lots of the New Testament was written by a Hebrew Lawyer (Saul/Paul). The Scripture itself says that there is (1) Lawgiver & (1) Judge. And within the legal framework of that advanced legal society - the age of entry into literal adulthood was: 13. Not 18. Not 21. It was 13; -- & I believe that God Himself established the calendar.

Amazing! 0ver half of the guys having sexual relationships cannot buy "adult material" in many jurisdictions - nor can they walk into an "R" movie without someone "Older" with them! (That's a mystery in itself! Do people who rate movies think the older 'mentor' is going to provide educational or moral commentary during the "adult" scenes?)! I'm digressing here ... but the obvious FACT is that there are some bizarre laws on the books in many places that are completely counter to common sense. If you're under 18, lots of internet services lock you out. What do guys do? They set up phoney accounts & then visit the likes of Men on the Net. We care little about such sites -- because they seem to have a predominant theme: 'Sex is a commodity & people are chattel.'
Our message is very different, -- but "adult" none-the-less. The difference is that we realize that the sex drive of your basic teen can easily tempt him to falsify his account info & press the "I Agree" button when it means "Statutory Adult". What message does society want them to get? While governments can't seem to classify what 'pornography' is, -- it seems quite obvious to us here: Material that dehumanizes people & portrays them as objects/fetishes while promoting that philosophy in a positive light ... That is the definition of "Pornography". Minds that lack wisdom cannot see that simple truth, -- so obtuse thinkers go about classifying all material that contains "sexual content" as "Adult". The result is quite predictable. Those person's who market "porn" do their best to insure that their smut will cross into the path of young impressionable viewers. After all -- these people lack a conscience in the first place (look at what they produce). Why would they be concerned if the 13 year-olds' first exposure to sex was an anal rape fantasy?
Meanwhile -- people of good conscience who extol the beauty of sex in their publications & depict the strongest human bonds between people (as often including the sexual); -- These people are effectively squelched by "adult material restrictions", because men of good conscience desire to keep the law & therefore do not disseminate their literary artwork. The result: The very laws intended to guard young minds against heartless pornography, - effectively do the precise opposite! In many countries -- especially the US, -- "Adult material" has become synonymous with abusive, degrading fetishes that have no conscience for those individuals who images are ruthlessly exploited to fulfill the fantasies of society's sociopaths (existing & potential). Where does the gentle person reach out - who now has senses & appetites for sensations he has not known before? Well, g0ys cannot control the poor judgment of those who have believed the lie that all "Adult Material" is necessarily abusive in theme.
