FukU

Fugu (blow fish) is a fish which contains deadly poison in the organs. Despite the risk, fugu dishes remain as special feasts in Japan. Even the milt is considered as a great delicacy. Fugu is referred to as blow/globe/puffer fish since it blows its body up. The kanji (Chinese characters) used to write fugu indicates "river pig." In western Japan, fugu is called "fuku". And if prepared incorrectly - it will most certainly FUK-U.

Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?
[[[See what Jesus' followers assumed ... that the guy was blind because "someone sinned". Isn't this the same assumption raised by the ex-gay, reparative-therapy crowd? Listen to many so-called "ex-gays" testify & you'll hear the same old drivel: "I never bonded with my father & my mother made me ...". See their argument is that their parents "sinned" - making the "ex-gay", -"gay" in the 1st place. Other people assert that "gays choose" a "lifestyle". Kinsey 6's know that we are simply "blind" to the "attractiveness" of the opposite gender.]]]

Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned nor his parents, but that the works of God should be manifested in him.
[[[Huh. Imagine that. In THIS particular case, Jesus says the guy was born blind to show the works of God. Is this true in all cases of blindness? No.... but in this case...something Wonderful was about to happen.]]]

Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that has sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.

Joh 9:6 Having said these things, he spat on the ground and made mud of the spittle, and put the mud, as ointment, on his eyes.
[[[Jesus is showing Who He is. In Genesis, the Scripture records God forming Man from the dust. Now, here we have Jesus forming dust into clay. Next he puts it into the guy's eye-sockets. See, many people believe the man was blind because he had no eyes...]]]

Joh 9:7 And he said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, which is interpreted, Sent. He went therefore and washed, and came seeing.
[[[Notice he didn't have sight until AFTER he went to the pool & washed. FAITH, by definition is obedience to a command. The result of washing in the command of Jesus: Sight! Acts 2:38 anyone?]]]

Joh 9:8 The neighbours therefore, and those who used to see him before, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that was sitting and begging?

Joh 9:11 He answered and said , A man called Jesus made mud and anointed mine eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam and wash: and having gone and washed, I saw.

Joh 9:12 They said therefore to him, Where is he[[[Jesus]]]? He says, I do not know.

Joh 9:13 They bring him who was before blind to the Pharisees[[[Self-professed experts on religion & law]]].

Joh 9:15 The Pharisees therefore also again asked him how he received his sight. And he said to them, He put mud upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.

Joh 9:16 Some of the Pharisees therefore said, This man is not of God, for he does not keep the Sabbath. Others said, How can a sinful man perform such signs? And there was a division among them.

Joh 9:17 They say therefore again to the blind man , What dost thou say of him, that he has opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.

Joh 9:18 The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him that he was blind and had received sight, until they had called the parents of him that had received sight.

Joh 9:19 And they asked them saying, This is your son, of whom ye say that he was born blind: how then does he now see?

Joh 9:20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;

Joh 9:21 but how he now sees we do not know, or who has opened his eyes we do not know. *He* is of age: ask *him*; *he* will speak concerning himself.
[[[The guy's parents were at a loss over this. Then they made it clear that their kid was competent ... Which means that the Pharisees were implying what about him? Notice religion's response to the truth of the miracle. They paint the picture of the one claiming it as being a liar or incompetent.]]]

Joh 9:22 His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if any one confessed him to be the Christ, he should be excommunicated from the synagogue.

Joh 9:24 They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man [[[the one who healed you]]] is sinful.

Joh 9:25 He answered therefore, If he is sinful I know not. One thing I know, that, being blind before , now I see.

Joh 9:26 And they said to him again, What did he do to thee? How opened he thine eyes?

Joh 9:27 He answered them, I told you already and ye did not hear: why do ye desire to hear again? Do ye also wish to become his disciples?

Joh 9:28 They railed at him, and said, Thou art his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

Joh 9:29 We know that God spoke to Moses; but as to this man , we know not whence he is.

Joh 9:30 The man answered and said to them, Now in this is a wonderful thing, that *ye* do not know whence he is, and he has opened mine eyes.

Joh 9:31 But we know that God does not hear sinners; but if any one be God-fearing and do his will, him he hears.

Joh 9:32 Since time was, it has not been heard that any one opened the eyes of one born blind.

Joh 9:33 If this man were not of God he would be able to do nothing.

Joh 9:34 They answered and said to him, Thou hast been wholly born in sins, and thou teachest us? And they cast him out.
[[[Check out their reply: They accuse the guy of being steeped in sin from birth. In other words - they accused his parents of being immoral (Yes ... certain STDs will cause blindness)! Under Hebrew law - a bastard had no legal recourse to the system. They cursed him, & his parents & utterly dismissed his testimony for lack of legal standing! "Truth be damned! We're 'experts' & you're just a nobody!".]]]

MT 23:1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. 3 So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

MT 23:5 "Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them `Rabbi.'

MT 23:8 "But you are not to be called `Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth `father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to be called `teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

MT 23:13 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

MT 23:15 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.
