"GAY" literature
& stories should be called:
SH!TERATURE!
WHY? Because the entire alphabet soup community ironically, does not under-stand human sexuality at all!
In the 1940's, Dr. Alfred Kinsey did exhaustive studies to establish the nature of human sexuality. That research stands even until this day & has never been deemed to be archaic, flawed nor obsolete!
This matters because what Kinsey's work uncovered about human sexuality is NOT what the GLITQetc, movement promotes!
Kinsey discovered that sexuality is a continuum that can generally be expressed on a scale from 0-6 for each person.
But, the GLITQetc group wants to cut people into ill fitting groups: "Straight", Bi", "Gay", "Trans", etc.
And when those people write stories - they assume their severely flawed paradigms are true in society. They're WRONG!
And their biases get baked into the narrative as flawed presumptions that are expressed as terms like: "My straight roommate.", & "because he was straight, -I knew that he would be...".
An ancient proverb says: "The only one who truly knows a man is the spirit within him."
Most people are NOT fully open about their sexuality & conceal the specifics for privacy's sake!
Furthermore, the GLITQetc thing seems to presume that "Gay men" are not the same as other men in a general sense -thus need to be segregated by sexuality!
In order to protect their own reputations, most men claim to be "straight" because they want nothing to do with the stigmas around the term "gay" (as represented by GLITQetc group-think)!
